Macroalgae and the herbarium as speculative and multisensory storytelling practice

Last week Caroline Elgh visited the research program Mistra Environmental Communication at SLU, the Swedish University of Agricultural Science to give the workshop Macroalgae and the herbarium as speculative and multisensory storytelling practice. Through working and thinking with five algal species and underwater science fiction literature the participants were engaged in a process of transforming the herbarium from being a collection of scientific data to a new speculative mapping process for worlds to come.
