Anna Hedberg is an artist and illustrator, working as an art pedagogue at Sigtuna Museum & Art.
“In my art, I am inspired by nature, found objects and stories. I want my art to reflect and be part of the society we live in, while I want to add a dimension of poetry, playfulness and intuitive being and creation.
“Nature is full of unfinished projects” is an ongoing – ever-growing – art project that can include so many different techniques and contexts. I am inspired by nature’s diversity and its sometimes unpredictable shapes and phenomena. There is also something forgiving in the title; everything is going on at the same time in nature, different processes begin and end at the same time.
This is also in line with how I work with my art and in creative processes with others in art pedagogical projects; with openness for what happens in the moment, and with focus on the process.
When I do public art I like to work together with both architects and the people who will experience art in their everyday life. I like to draw inspiration for motifs, themes and colors from the place, the nearby nature (small and big organsims!) and the environment in the immediate area where the artwork is to be placed”.
