Louise Johansson Waite is an artist, curator and art facilitator. She holds a bachelor degree in Fine Art Critical Practice (Hons) from the University of Brighton (UK) as well as a degree in project management within culture from Kulturverkstan (Sweden). She works as an art consultant at Östergötlands museum and is initiator and co-director of the platform FLOCK for participatory practices. Louise has an interdisciplinary practice where she uses autonomous materials to create ephemeral and social artworks that explore the meetingpoint between material, function and idea. She has a great interest in the self-organising within the arts, multi-sensory practices and cultural heritage. Her main source of research and inspiration is bread – from the journey it takes from grain in our soil to loaf on our tables and its close connectivity to the ecological, sociopolitical and corporeal landscape.
